14th Vertical Marathon 2012 at Banyan Tree Bangkok

Banyan Tree Bangkok is gearing up for one of the most exciting events in the calendar, the 14th Vertical Marathon on Sunday 14th October 2012. Unlike other marathons, the Vertical Marathon goes up 1,093 steps to the 61st floor of the Banyan Tree Bangkok. The record so far is six minutes and 19 seconds. The finishing point at the Vertigo Grill and Moon Bar has some great views of Bangkok. The registration fee of Baht 350 – includes the official marathon t-shirt and a medal if you make it to the top. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the HIV Formula Feeding” Fund, a Thai Red Cross initiative under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali. Registration is between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m.
