Enjoy a Traditional Songkran at Bangkok City Hall

IMG_6816

If you would like to celebrate a more traditional Songkran without getting wet, then I suggest that you head down to Bangkok’s City Hall this weekend. They have a lot of cultural activities as well as an OTOP Fair and plenty of food stalls. Saturday starts with giving alms to 186 monks at 7 a.m. This is followed by sprinkling rose scented water on the hands of elders and receiving a blessing from them in return. During the day people can bathe the Buddha images. The shows start from 4 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. On Sunday it is much the same with cultural activities and shows between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.
